Whole - "the Rubik's cube of organizational analysis"
Understanding the situation of an organization is a prerequisite for being able to develop in the right direction. GreenGardens® use Whole, a tool based on long research from Linköping University. It is web-based where you answer questions in relation to a number of different areas. In a trustworthy, transparent and multidimensional way, it reveals both the organization's strengths and weaknesses. Most important of all; the output is comprehensible and actionable. The process starts with making sure the respondents understand what Whole is and feel comfortable. The result is followed by inspirational lectures and workshops, or, if necessary, processed in a more long term change process.

⭐️ Key Success Factor ⭐️: the connections between the different interdisciplinary areas in the model (leadership, social environment, organizational environment, well-being, exposure, stress, engagement, etc.) and its corresponding questions are validated from a systems perspective. Think of it like a human body and all its different systems: they all have their own functions and tolerance levels but are interconnected and dependent upon each other. We know how the body's systems work - just like the Whole-model does when it comes to organizational health.
Statistically validated reference values
Being able to compare a result against a reference value is of utmost importance when trying to find out if an organization is healthy or not. But how do you create a reference value? Most tools use previously collected answers from customers as a reference base. But how do you know if the answers you have collect are based on healthy or unhealthy organizations? You don't - unless you collect a statistically representative sample. ⭐️ Key Success Factor ⭐️: Whole has done this via Statistics Sweden.
Actionable output
A trustworthy output and an understanding of what to do with it are another key success factors. Thanks to the validated connections in the model, the statistically validated reference values and Whole's graphical representation of the result, it is possible to ⭐️ give prioritized recommended actions to the organization ⭐️. Many times we have to guess what the situation is, or we think we know - but the courage to act comes naturally when we receive data that are reliable. Except from organizational unit, the tool can represent a number of other background variables.
