Value base

The Bible encourages us to strive for what benefits peace and builds community (Romans chapter 14, verse 19). Earlier in the chapter we can read about righteousness, peace and joy as the foundation. Peace and joy come out of righteousness. What is then righteousness?

To be righteous partly means to be in the right relationship with your fellow human beings. A good starting point is to do to others as you would like them to do to you. A righteous person does not fool others, see other people as means to achieve his or her own goals, or talk behind someone else's back. A righteous person is transparent, honest and focused on the good and what creates unity.

It's a matter of fact that it is easier to destroy something than to build it up. People usually use the image that it is easier to roll a snowball down a mountain than to roll it up. It can take years to build trust but a few seconds to destroy it all. Therefore, in order to create a healthy organization, we need a stable value base as a foundation.
